A good quality teapot is a staple in any tea lovers’ home and is used very frequently and sometimes even passed down to other family members. A good teapot is handy and has a certain aesthetic to it. In this season of holiday cheer and gifting, a delicate glass teapot in a lovely green gift box made its way to me with many thanks to Everything Zen.

Trotter Notes
After moving to the UK I had made two investments with respect to kettles. One was a stovetop whistling kettle which I absolutely adore and the second was a temperature-controlled electric kettle. Whilst the kettles served the purpose well, the main issue I faced was with how hard the water was which affected the inner lining of the kettle and left me feeling doubtful about the safety of using them.
This led me holding off on purchasing a separate teapot for myself. Everyday Zen’s glass teapot with the added microwaveable feature makes this a perfect solution for me wherein I can heat my water for tea exclusively in the teapot itself. I find this to be very useful especially in this part of the world.
The package arrived in a beautiful gift box which I’m thinking would be perfect to store memorabilia. Glass is a tricky material to transport and the box was snug with 5 layers of protection. The inner lining of the box had an elegant lotus and enso (Japanese symbol for zen) print.
Inside the teapot was a little surprise in the form of an origami fortune cookie which I think speaks a lot about the detail-oriented thought process of the brand.
The glass teapot has a delicate and well-crafted handmade design. The glass itself felt sturdy. It came along with a glass tea lid.
One of the main positives with brewing tea in a glass teapot is surely being able to appreciate the tea leaves and watch them unfurl. This goes in line with Everyday Zen’s brand message which is to appreciate the finer things in life.
I really liked the size of the stainless steel infuser. It does well for a considerable amount of tea servings. The bamboo engraved tea coaster was also a great touch. It provides a safe surface to place the glass teapot. The engraved logo can be seen when I look down at the teapot.
The teapot has a no-drip spout. Even after 4-5 pours of tea into my teacup, there were no drips. The glass lid provided really good heat retention as well.
The Everything Zen glass teapot set is a high-quality product that would go really well in a tea lover’s pantry. It also makes for a great gift idea in this holiday season.

My pot came without a lid. Is it an option?
